Katharine Holmes and the Tigers will head to Northwestern for two days of dual meets this weekend.

Resuming their dual-meet schedule, the Princeton fencing teams will head to Northwestern for a total of 23 matches Saturday and Sunday.

It is the fourth straight year Princeton has participated in the Northwestern Duals, and the Tiger teams have a combined record of 61-10 in the event over the previous three seasons. Last season, the men went 10-1 at Northwestern, the women 9-2.

The Tigers are undefeated at Northwestern against teams other than Notre Dame and Ohio State, both of whom will be back at Northwestern with Princeton again this season. The men have yet to defeat Ohio State through their first three trips to Evanston, though the Tiger men did defeat Notre Dame last season for the first time at the locale. The women are 0-3 against Notre Dame and 1-2 against Ohio State, beating the Buckeyes in 2010.

It's no surprise that Notre Dame and Ohio State have given the Tigers their toughest matches of any in the Northwestern Duals, as the two programs have been in the top five in all three of those seasons at the NCAA Championships, a combined men's/women's event. Princeton has been right there too, finishing sixth in 2010, fourth in 2011 and second in 2012.

The Northwestern Duals schedule will feature plenty of top competition for Princeton's No. 1-ranked women's team and No. 4-ranked men's team. The women will face five other top-10 teams, including No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 4 Ohio State, No. 7. Northwestern and No. 9 Temple, plus three other squads receiving votes in the poll. The men will face three top-10 teams, including No. 1 Ohio State, No. 3 Notre Dame and No. 10 Stanford, along with two teams receiving votes.

The weekend's competition schedule for Princeton is below.

After Northwestern, the Tigers will return to the Northeast to defend their Ivy League titles at the league round-robin hosted by Harvard next weekend.
