NCAA Players to Watch
The NCAA named Princeton women's water polo junior Katier
Rigler as one of four "Players to Watch" in 2013. The utility is the only
player hailing from an East Coast program and is in the company of a pair of
2012 Olympians in Stanford gold medalist Maggie Steffens and USC's Flora
Bolonyai.
Rigler is coming off another standout campaign, helping
guide the Tigers to the 2012 Southern and Eastern championships and their first
NCAA Championship appearances. She was named Southern Division Player of the Year,
Eastern Tournament MVP and to the NCAA All-Tournament Team. The two-time
All-America notched 76 goals, 37 steals, 13 assists and drew 30 ejections a
year ago.
The Tigers are set to open the year hosting the Princeton
Invitational from Feb. 8-10, beginning with No. 4 California.
