STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (9/8/12) - Junior Alejandro Arroyo Yamin won the Spiked Shoe Invitational and led the Princeton men's cross country team to victory at Penn State on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Yamin clocked in a 26:00 and was followed by Tigers in third, fourth and fifth place. Sophomore Eddie Owens ran 26:18 for third, while junior Chris Bendtsen was fourth and junior Tyler Udland was fifth with matching times of 26:24. The final Princeton scorer was senior Michael Franklin, who finished at 26:34 for 12th place. Sophomore Matt McDonald and junior Jonathan Vitez both finished in the top 25 in under 27 minutes.

Georgetown was the second place team, 32 points behind Princeton. Penn State was third with 78 points followed by Navy and St. Joseph's.

Princeton will compete at the Notre Dame and Paul Short Invite on Sept. 28.
