Princeton sophomore Kelly Shon has once again earned a place in the U.S. Women's Open.
Shon turned in a two-round score of 150 at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md., on May 29 to earn one of seven qualifying spots at that site for the Open, which will run July 5-8 at Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Wis. Qualifying for the 156-player field will continue through June 3 at sites across the country.
Shon competed in the 2011 U.S. Women's Open and was just one shot away from making the cut. Before returning to the Open, Shon will compete at the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship in Neshanic Station, N.J., June 18-23.
