PRINCETON, N.J. (2/17/10) - The Princeton women's basketball looks to extend its 14-game winning streak when it travels to Yale and Brown this weekend. The Tigers will play at Yale on Friday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m., and at Brown on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.

Fans who can't make it to New England can watch the games online for a fee or listen to Princeton's Derek Jones call the action free of charge. Live stats will also be provided.

The Tigers are 19-2 overall and 7-0 in the Ivy League, sitting in first place in the conference standings. Princeton has a +19.2 scoring margin over its opponents and a +5.8 rebounding margin. The team shoots 44.8 percent overall while going 69.9 percent from the free throw line and 37.5 percent from behind the arc. Freshman Niveen Rasheed leads the team in scoring and rebounds with 15.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. She also has a team-best 66 assists and 50 steals. Junior Addie Micir has 13.4 points per game and is the team leader in three-pointers and free throws. Sophomore Lauren Edwards adds 12.6 points per game and has 23 blocks, 25 steals and 46 assists. Classmate Devona Allgood is also in double digits in scoring 10.7 points per game and adds 7.9 rebounds per game, while adding a team-high 33 blocks. Freshman Lauren Polansky is second on the team in both steals with 27 and assists with 54.

Princeton and Yale will be meeting for the 73rd time since first seeing each other in 1973. The Tigers hold a 42-30 advantage in the all-time series. The teams have split the series in each of the last three years. Last year, Yale won at Jadwin Gym 56-54 before the Tigers responded with a 61-53 win in New Haven. The Tigers earned a 69-48 win at Jadwin three weeks ago.

Yale is 10-12 overall and is 5-3 in the Ivy League, sitting in third place with Columbia in the league rankings. The squad is 6-2 when playing at home and haven't lost a home game since Dec. 29 against UC Davis. After an 88-65 loss at Harvard last Friday, the Elis rebounded with a 70-66 double overtime win over Dartmouth. Megan Vasquez and Yoyo Greenfield lead the team in scoring with 11.7 and 10.4 points per game. Vasquez adds 4.0 rebounds per game and has 50 assists and 32 steals. Michelle Cashen has a team best 7.3 rebounds per game and has 34 steals and 15 blocks. Mady Gobrecht is the team leader in blocks with 27, assists with 60 while contributing 6.5 boards per game. Both Cashen and Gobrecht average roughly nine points per game. Yale averages 62.8 points per game, while its opponents are scoring 65.6. The squad does have a positive rebounding margin at +2.8. The Bulldogs are shooting 37.3 percent from the field, 69.7 from the free throw line and 27.2 percent from behind the arc.

Princeton and Brown will be meeting for the 63rd time since the series began in 1974. The Tigers hold a slim 33-29 edge in the all-time series and have won the last eight games. Brown does have the edge when playing on its home court, winning 19 of 31 games.

Brown enters the weekend with a 6-16 overall record and a 3-5 record in the Ivy League to sit in sixth place in the standings. The Bears are 1-3 in their last two weekends having lost to Dartmouth and Harvard last weekend. Hannah Passafuime averages 10.5 points per game and leads the team in steals with 31. Christina Johnson has the best shooting percentage on the team and averages 8.5 points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game. Both players shoot over 70 percent from the free throw line. Natalie Bonds is the team's leader on the glass with 6.5 rebounds per game and a team-high 26 blocks. Other scorers include Lindsay Nickel and Alleen Daniels who both add over six points per game. Brown is averaging 54.7 points while its opponents score 66.6 points per game. The team is shooting 32.7 percent from the floor, 70 percent from the line and 25 percent from downtown.
