PRINCETON, N.J. (4/1/13) - After a big 2-0 week with wins over Columbia and No. 11 Cornell on the road, and Princeton women's lacrosse team swept the Ivy League weekly honors and cracked the Inside Lacrosse (IL) national poll in a big way.

The Tigers, who have received votes all season in the IL poll, jumped from receiving votes to No. 14 in the poll. They are the highest ranked Ivy League team, with Cornell and Dartmouth trailing and Penn in the RV category.

Sophomore Erin McMunn captures her second consecutive Offensive Player of the Week honor in the league. McMunn finished with week with 13 points on eight goals and five assists in two games, while recording two ground balls and three draw controls.

She factored into half of her team’s goals in the Tigers’ 18-7 win over Columbia with career-high nine points on a career-high six goals along with three assists. Those nine points ranks her fourth all-time at Princeton in points in a game tying the record of All-America players Crista Samaras '99, Lindsey Biles '05 and Kathleen Miller '07.

At No. 11 Cornell, McMunn factored into three of Princeton's five goals as the Tigers came from an 8-7 deficit to take a 12-8 lead. She scored the tying goal to start the second half and assisted on the 10th and 11th goals, in addition to scoring once in the first half.

Junior Caroline Franke was 2-0 in goal for the Tigers, finishing with 17 saves and 17 goals allowed as Princeton defeated Columbia, 18-7, and No. 11 Cornell, 12-10. This is her first career Ivy League honor.

Franke had eight saves and a ground ball against the Lions and then matched her career-high with nine saves against the Big Red, while also recording two ground balls and one caused turnover. She recorded a goals against average of 8.50 in the two games.

Princeton takes home both of the weekly awards for the first time since March 1, 2010, when Kristin Morrison was co-Offensive Player of the Week and Erin Tochihara was Defensive Player of the Week.
