Jeff Froccaro and Ryan Ambler had big Saturdays in a Princeton men's lacrosse win, and that often results in being honored the following Monday.
Froccaro was named the Ivy League co-Player of the Week after his four-goal, one-assist effort in Princeton's 15-8 win ove Brown Saturday. Ambler had one goal and four assists in the game to earn Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors.
It was the second time this year that the two have won these awards.
Yale's Brandon Mangan, who had four goals and two assists in a 7-6 OT win over Penn, was the other co-Player recipient.
Froccaro had two goals and an assist during a 10-0 Princeton run that turned a 2-1 first-quarter deficit into an 11-2 fourth-quarter lead and then had two more goals in the fourth quarter after Brown made a four-goal run that included three goals in a 31-second span.
Froccaro's assist came in the fourth quarter, on a feed to his brother Jake, and it made him the 27th player in program history to reach 100 career points.
Ambler had his goal and three of his assists as Princeton built the 11-2 lead. For Ambler, it was his first caerer four-assist game and his third five-point game.
Princeton is now ranked eighth nationally in both polls and will take on Syracuse, tied with Princeton for eighth in one poll and ninth in the other, this Saturday on Powers Field at Princeton Stadium. Face-off is at 5.
