Franke & McMunn Earn Academic Distinction from IWLCA
PRINCETON, N.J. (9/2/14) - Senior Erin McMunn and 2014 graduate Caroline Franke have been honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for academic distinction.
The pair was named the IWCLA Division I Academic Honor Roll. The student-athletes were nominated by their school and have achieved at least junior status academically and had a cumulative academic GPA or 3.50 or greater.
Attacker McMunn has been Princeton's leading scorer the last two seasons. A two-time All-America she has been on the Tewaaraton Watch List twice. The 2012 Ivy League Rookie of the Year and 2013 Ivy League Attacker of the Year ranks ninth all-time in scoring at Princeton. McMunn is a sociology major.
Franke graduated in May with a degree in psychology specializes in pre-med. She was a second-team All-Ivy League goalie and captured Nike National Player of the Week honors during her career, and league player of the week twice. Franke finished her career with a .438 save percentage and a 10.39 goals against average in 24 games played.
The 2014 Princeton women's lacrosse team was honored two weeks ago by the organization as an Academic Honor Squad.
