For the fifth straight year, and the first time as defending NCAA champions, the Princeton fencing teams have qualified the maximum 12 fencers to the NCAA Championships next week at Ohio State.

Princeton, Ohio State and Penn State are the only teams to qualify the maximum 12. As each fencer contributes a point for each of the maximum 23 bout victories he or she achieves, qualifying the maximum 12 fencers is a huge step in contending for the top of the leaderboard.

As usual, the Ivy League has a strong presence at the NCAA Championships. Of the 144 fencers in the field, 52, or 36.8 percent, are from the seven Ivy League fencing programs.

Below are Princeton's qualifiers, and here is the official NCAA announcement. GoPrincetonTigers.com will have a more in-depth preview of the championships next week.
