2014: Started 29 of 32 games as a freshman… hit .306 with five doubles, 10 RBI and 17 runs scored… hit safely in nine of first 10 collegiate games, including first six appearances… hit safely in 23 outings with nine multi-hit games to his credit… was 1-for-3 with a run batted in in his collegiate debut against UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 28)… had four hits with two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored during a four-game set against Michigan… tallied four hits, two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in a three-game set against UNC-Greensboro… was 3-for-8 in a doubleheader against Brown (Apr. 5)… was 3-for-9 with an RBI and run scored in a twinbill against Harvard (Apr. 16)... had seven hits in 19 at-bats during his last five games.

Before Princeton
St. Thomas Academy: 
A 2013 graduate of St. Thomas Academy… three-year letterwinner and starter… team captain… also earned three letters in football and played basketball as a freshman… played club baseball for Edina America Legion from 2011-13… named Rookie of the Year… team went 43-8 in 2012 and won state championship and reached Central Plains Regional Final Four… in 2013 squad was a state semifinalist with 29-9 record.

Personal: Full name is Daniel Winge Baer, born June 8, 1994… youngest son of Cammy and Tim Baeur… Tim ’82 played hockey at Princeton… has three brothers: Jack, a former hockey player at Amherst, Matthew and Michael…  plans on majoring in economics… hopes to continue baseball career following college… student body vice president, four-time Eagle Award Winner, Citizenship Award recipient and top-six in senior leadership.
