2016: One of three Tigers to play in all 45 games … Set career-highs in runs (21), home runs (three), RBI (33), total bases (66), walks (18), batting average (.288), on-base percentage (.356), slugging percentage (.388) and stolen bases (eight) … Finished in the top ten among Ivy League in RBI (second), hits (seventh) and stolen bases (eighth) … Began the season on a 12-game hitting streak (Mar. 4-18) … Had four hits and two RBI in three-game set at No. 4 Louisville (Mar. 4-6) … Back-to-back two-hit outings (Mar. 6-12) … Scored twice at Richmond (Mar. 14) and at Georgetown (Mar. 17) … Posted three hits at Navy (Mar. 27) … Snagged three hits and drove in five vs. Harvard (Apr. 3) … Three straight games with at least two hits (Apr. 8-10) … Banner doubleheader at Brown, going 4-for-11 with four runs, three RBI and two stolen bases … Three hits, three RBI and two runs at Rider (Apr. 20) … Five straight games with a RBI including a three-RBI game at Columbia (Apr. 24) … Posted two hits and a RBI vs. Sam Houston State in the NCAA Tournament (June 4). 

2015: Made 32 starts in 34 games … Finished the year with seven multi-hit games .. Went 3-of-11 in three-game series at No. 2 LSU (Feb. 27-28) … Back-to-back multi-hit outings vs. UNC-Greensboro (Mar. 8) and No. 16 Maryland (Mar. 13) … Secured three hits, two runs scored and a RBI at No. 16 Maryland (Mar. 16) … Perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate at Navy (Mar. 21) … Two hits at Seton Hall (Mar. 24) … Scored runs vs. Columbia in consecutive games (Apr. 11) … Multi-hit game at St. John’s (Apr. 15) … Two RBI vs. Cornell (Apr. 24). 

2014: Started 31 of 36 appearances... collected 22 hits... had two doubles, eight RBI and 12 runs scored... had a hit in nine of first 10 collegiate games... went 2-for-3 in debut against UC-Santa Barbara (Feb. 28) with a run scored... was 3-for-8 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in a doubleheader against UCSB (Mar. 2)... was 7-for-15 with three runs scored in first three games of a four-game set against Michigan... went 5-for-13 with a double, two RBI and four runs scored in three games against UNC-Greensboro... recorded two hits in a pair of at-bats against Cornell (Apr. 25).

Belen Jesuit Preparatory: A 2013 graduate of Belen Jesuit Preparatory… two-year letterwinner and starter… team was 2012 district champions… earned All-Dade Honorable Mention honors in 2012. 

Personal: Full name is Nicholas Hector Hernandez, born August 11, 1994… oldest child of Maryann and Henry Hernandez… has two sisters: Jessica and Mia… plans on majoring in economics and hopes to attend law school following graduation… was a writer and editor for school newspaper… a member of the National Honor Society and named to Math Honors Society.
