PHILADELPHIA (4/26/13) – The men’s 4x400 relay won the heptagonal relay on Day 2 of the Penn Relays. It was no match against the rest of the Ivy League competitors as the Tigers won at 3:07.99.

Sophomore Daniel McCord, junior Tom Hopkins, senior Russell Dinkins and senior Austin Hollimon made up the relay and bested Cornell by nearly four seconds.

Princeton did not enter its national championship indoor relay into the distance medley relay, an event the Tigers won last year. The relay of senior Michael Palmisano, junior Tom Scott, sophomore Bradley Paternostro and junior Michael Williams clocked 9:41.98 to finished ninth.

The 4x100 relay of freshman Dre Nelson, freshman Hohn Hill, McCord and Hopkins posted a time of 41.65.

Scott opened the day with a 54.66 in the 400 hurdles, while freshman Jordan Myers ran 55.35.

In the field events, junior David Coneway was 10th in the Eastern pole vault, clearing 4.50 (14-9), while sophomore Scott Rushton was 16th in the Eastern shot put with a throw of 15.26 (50-0.75).

The Tigers wrap up the Penn Relays tomorrow, competing in the javelin, triple jump and in the 4x400 and 4x800 relays.
