Senior Peter Callahan was named co-Most Outstanding Track Performer and junior Damon McLean was named co-Most Outstanding Field Performer at the 2013 Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships.
Callahan proved he is not be counted out, as he returned to Heps after missing the 2012 outdoor season and this fall's cross country season with an injury. Callahan won the mile with a time of 4:19.90, the only runner to finish under 4:20. He also anchored the winning distance medley relay. Princeton was in fourth place with Callahan got the baton and cruised across the line first at 9:52.72.
McLean was a double winner with victories in the long and triple jumps. McLean won the long jump Saturday afternoon with a jump of 7.55 (24-9.25) on his fourth attempt. His win in the triple jump on Sunday helped to push Princeton within nine points of taking over the lead. McLean recorded a jump of 15.93 (52-3.25) on two different attempts. That distance sets him 10th in the NCAA.
