On the heels of an unprecedented Olympic performance by numerous Princeton student-athletes, Tiger fall teams had a combined Ivy League record of 31-9-2 with three Ivy Championships (field hockey, women's soccer, and men's cross country). The field hockey program won its first NCAA National Championship, extending Princeton's streak of winning a team or individual national championship to 42 years. We are currently ranked #1 nationally in the prestigious Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, which honors institutions that maintain a broad-based program and achieve success in many sports.

Undoubtedly, all of these accomplishments have contributed to our unmatched tradition of athletics success, but more importantly, to our official motto of "Education Through Athletics." Princeton student-athletes provide inspiration both on and off the field and are ambassadors of this unique approach to intercollegiate athletics. The video featured above, "Princeton Athletics: Coming Home," showcases the five teams that competed on campus on Saturday, October 20, 2012; an incredibly memorable day for the Tiger athletic community, featuring one of the greatest comeback victories in Princeton history. The video gives insight into what it's like to be "home" during a rivalry weekend, through the eyes of a current student-athlete, a recent graduate, and an alumnus head coach, but also to how "Education Through Athletics" has shaped, and continues to shape, so many members of the Princeton Athletics family.

"Princeton Athletics: Coming Home" was produced by the Athletics Friends Groups and the Princeton Varsity Club, who both play vital roles in maintaining the excellence of Princeton Athletics.
