PRINCETON, N.J. (10/2/12) - The Princeton men's soccer team will face its third ranked opponent on Saturday, Oct. 6. This time the stakes are higher as Ivy League foe, No. 19-ranked Brown, comes to Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium.

Both teams are tied atop the Ivy League standings, along with Cornell, with 1-0 records after the league's opening weekend.

The Tigers are 5-3 overall and have won the last four games. Two of Princeton's losses came to teams ranked in the top 15 in the nation. After this weekend, Princeton's schedule doesn't get any easier as it hosts No. 24 Creighton on Tuesday in a ESPN televised game. Freshman Thomas Sanner has already made a name for himself in the Ivy League, winning the league's Rookie of the Week honor, four of the five weeks it has been presented. Sanner leads the team in scoring with 11 points on three goals and five assists. Older brother Matt Sanner has two goals and one assist for five points. Sophomore Cameron Porter adds four points with two assists and the game-winning overtime goal against Dartmouth last weekend. Junior Seth MacMillian boats a 4-1 record that includes two shutouts. He has made 15 stops on 18 shots for an .833 save percentage and a 0.60 goals against average.

Brown is ranked No. 19 in the NSCAA poll with an 8-1-1 record. The Bears played to a 0-0 draw with Fairfield this past Tuesday. Brown's lone loss was to Fordham on Sept. 9. The team has wins over Rhode Island, Providence, Cleveland State, BU, Lehigh, Washington, Portland and Columbia. Ten different players have scored one of Brown's 15 goals. Thomas McNamara leads the team in scoring with three goals and two assists for eight points. Voltaire Escalona has the most assists on the team with four, to go along with one goal. Bobby Belair is third in the scoring column with two goals and one assists for five points. Sam Kernan-Schloss has played nearly every minute in goal. He has allowed just five goals on 21 shots for a 0.56 GAA and a .762 save percentage, collecting five shutouts along the way.
