Princeton rising sophomores Jessica Haley and Gabrielle Ragazzo have helped their club team to next month's US Youth Soccer national semifinals in South Carolina.
Haley, from the Georgia coast, and Ragazzo, from Jacksonville, Fla., played with the Florida-based Clay County Sol in the US Youth Soccer U-19 Region III tournament, where the Sol won all four of its games in the Greenville, S.C., regional tournament without allowing a goal.
The national tournament involving the four regional winners will begin July 24 in Rock Hill, S.C.
Haley and Ragazzo will be two of several Tigers playing over the summer, as rising seniors Jen Hoy and Rachel Sheehy and rising sophomore Liana Cornacchio will take part in the U.S. Adult Soccer Association's national semifinal on July 20 in Chicago. Diana Matheson '08 will be competing for Canada at the Olympic Games in London.
