RALEIGH, N.C. (3/31/12) - The Princeton men's track & field team sent its middle and distance corps to the Raleigh Relays on the campus of NC State.
In the 5,000 Section I, senior Joe Stilin finished in third place. He finished in a blistering time of 13:51.17, a new personal best. Sophomore Chris Bendtsen was eighth at 14:06.59.
Sophomore Tyler Udland won the 5,000 Section II with a time of 14:05.78, shaving nearly 50 seconds off his PR. Junior Michael Franklin and sophomore Jonathan Vitez also ran PRs in the race. Franklin was the runner-up at 14:06.82 and Vitez was fourth at 14:09.37.
Senior Donn Cabral finished in second place of the 1500 Section I with a time of 3:43.60. Senior Trevor Van Ackeren took fifth at 3:44.26. Sophomore Michael Williams was 10th at 3:48.19 with freshman Bradley Paternostro right behind at 3:48.34
In Section II, junior Michael Palmisano ran 3:50.16 and freshman Connor Martin 3:51.27, both PRs.
Junior James Webb was the runner-up in the 1500 Section IV when he crossed the line at 3:53.87, just missing first place by 0.59 seconds.
In the 800, Williams clocked in at 1:51.73, a new PR for the sophomore who finished fourth in the race.
The Tigers will host the annual Sam Howell Invitational April 6-7 at Weaver Stadium.
