In another high offensive output from the Princeton baseball team, the Tigers combined for 16 hits to defeat Richmond 15-9. The win also marked Princeton's first series win over an opponent on the year, as they went 2-1 against the Spiders.

Five different Tigers recorded a multi-hit game, with Alec Keller and Blake Thomsen going 3-for-6 to lead the squad. Thomsen also had a pair of RBI and runs, while Keller notched two RBI. Ryan Albert, Steve Harrington and John Mishu each tallied a pair of hits, while Sam Mulroy made his lone hit count, driving in his third home run of the year.

In the top of the first, Mike Ford hit a two out RBI single to give the Tigers an early advantage. After two scoreless innings, the Spiders took their first lead of the game in the bottom of the fourth. Down 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Mulroy sent a two-out three-run blast over the left field wall to give Princeton a 4-2 advantage. Richmond then knotted things in the bottom of the fifth, but the Tigers' Andrew Whitener's two-out RBI single to center field provided a one-run lift for Princeton the following inning.

Down 6-5, the Tigers employed 10-run rally over the final three innings to retake control of the game for good. In both the seventh and ninth innings, Harrington tallied a pair of doubles, bringing in three runs during that span.

On the defensive end, starting pitcher Matt Bowman threw 5.2 innings. In 32 batters faced, he tallied seven strikeouts, while allowing 10 hits. Ryan Makis came in and threw 1.1 relief innings, earning his first decision of the year, 1-0. Makis allowed only one run and three hits in nine batters faced.

The Tigers (4-6) head next to the state of North Carolina for a pair of midweek matchups. Princeton will face the North Carolina Tar Heels on Tuesday, Mar. 20 at 6 p.m., before playing UNC Greensboro the following evening at 6 p.m.
