Sophomore Conor McCullough has been named to The Bowerman Watch List "also receiving mention" list, it was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday, Feb. 29.

McCullough is the first student-athlete at Princeton and in the Ivy League to be named to The Bowerman lists, which debuted in 2009 as the sport's version of the Heisman Trophy.

McCullough leads the nation in the weight throw after throwing 23.19 (76-1) at the HYP Meet on Feb. 11.

He is one of just 26 track & field athletes across all divisions in the NCAA to earn this prestigious recognition.

About the Bowerman
The Bowerman, which debuted in 2009, is presented annually by the USTFCCCA to the most outstanding male and female collegiate track & field athletes in the nation.

Florida State’s Ngoni Makusha and Texas A&M’s Jessica Beard are the reigning winners of The Bowerman, which is named for legendary Oregon track & field and cross country coach Bill Bowerman.

Bowerman served the sport of track and field in numerous ways. His leadership in the USTFCCCA’s predecessor organization, the National Collegiate Track Coaches Association, and his contributions to NCAA track and field and the running community as a whole are among his many lasting legacies.
