SUFFERN, N.Y. -- In what could be a preview of next weekend's Ivy League Championships, the Princeton women's golf team finished ahead of nine other schools and five Ivies at the Roar-EE Invitational Saturday hosted by Columbia at the Spook Rock Golf Club in Suffern, N.Y.
Princeton beat Harvard by six shots, with Columbia, Yale, Penn, Fairleigh Dickinson, Lehigh, Brown, Long Island and Boston University rounding out the field. Sophomore Michelle Grilli was the top Tiger, tying for second place at +8, two shots behind FDU's Eva Mayr.
The win is Princeton's second tournament win this season, after the ECAC Championships in the fall, and comes after back-to-back second-place finishes to start the spring.
The Ivy League Championships will be contested next Friday through Sunday at the Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield, N.J.
