WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- Princeton advanced five of six singles players and two of three doubles teams into Sunday's main draw play with wins Saturday at the ITA Northeast Regional at Yale.

Hilary Bartlett, Monica Chow, Melissa Saiontz and Rachel Saiontz all received byes into Sunday's second round, while Blakely Ashley got there with a 6-1, 6-1 first-round win. Taylor Marable fell 6-4, 7-6(6) in her first-round match and will enter the consolation bracket.

In doubles play, Bartlett and Marable had a bye to the second round and won 8-1 to move on to the third round, while Monica Chow and Rachel Saiontz won their first two matches to move on to round three. Sarah Hoffman and Melissa Saiontz won their first-round match but lost 8-4 in the second round, ending their run.
